MC STIMULATOR – ROUNDABOUT
If you only know MC Stimulator from his drum ‘n’ bass rave-igniting performances, its time to get to know a whole different facet to his style. You see, he’s got more than party bars in his pad, and the ability to flow on any tempo you put in front of him.
‘Roundabout’ is a slice of 140 bpm realness, with a big message as well as a big feature from Impact. Running with a theme of karma and manifestation, Stimulator demonstrates his ability to tackle serious subject matter without sacrificing his style and delivery. Impact matches the energy, delivering a slick verse and hook to elevate this tune to yet another level.
With an animated video already dropped on YouTube – created by Reactoons whose previous visuals include work for MC Vapour and more – it’s evident that Stimulator has been grinding at every aspect of the craft, from bars to promo. With that kind of dedication, plus the awards and accolades he’s already achieved, it’s clear that his disctinctive brand of mic artistry has even more potential yet to be revealed.
We’re witnessing a multi-genre writer and performer who’s set to step into the spotlight and find a whole new audience. Having dropped a rapid-fire volley of tracks on the download stores and streaming services, and with more always on the way, you can’t test the workrate. And when workrate meets talent, you know the reaction will be explosive. Watch closely.

MC STIMULATOR – MONEY IN THE BANK REMIX
If you’ve seen the award-winning MC Stimulator in his natural element – on the mic, hyping up a drum ‘n’ bass dance – you know that his brand of catchy, hook-laden lyricism integrates perfectly with bouncy jump-up riddims. For this release, he’s teamed up with Rhymerdon, emcee and boss of Drum TV, to translate the full power of back-to-back DnB rhyming from the stage to the studio.
Riding on a remix of Rhymerdon’s ‘Money In the Bank’ instrumental, this is where Stimulator gets to show exactly how he does it in the rave.
Moody cinematic strings set the tone in the intro as we get tension-ramping hints of what’s to come. As we drop into a funky bass-bubbling stepper, it’s clear this is a tune that stands alone as an instrumental, but the addition of two rhymers flexing their skills raises up the explosive potential even further.
This track is the sound of drum ‘n’ bass emceeing at its most essential. Rolling out a irresistibly addictive beat, with two underground mic men trading crowd-hyping verses, represents the very heartbeat of the genre.
With a visual for this track coming very soon via Drum TV, it should be noted this is just one of Stim’s many releases across multiple genres recently. Becoming as recognised for his work in the booth as in the party, this is an emcee whose reputation is on a sharp upward trajectory. So if you aren’t checking for MC Stimulator, now’s the time to get on board.
MC STIMULATOR – SO AND SOS COUSIN
The multi-award-winning, multi-genre mic controller known as MC Stimulator has been a regular fixture on the rave and radio circuit for years now, flexing his lyrical skills on hip-hop, 140, drum ‘n’ bass and more. 2024 sees him level up his studio game, delivering a volley of high-impact releases. Including this one.
The DnB two-tracker ‘So and Sos Cousin’ is a collaboration with producers Iron Lung and Skeema. Even as the genre makes waves in the mainstream, this combo showcases the wealth of talent bubbling in the underground of the culture.
First up, there’s ‘Bars off My Dome’, Stimulator’s call-out of his pet peeves about the scene, including guestlist-blaggers – the “so and so’s cousin” of the release’s title – and penny-pinching promoters, with Iron Lung and Skeema on production. The bouncy rave-hyping beat mirroring Stim’s own “Boiiiing, boiiing” catchphrase, coupled with his catchy bars and delivery make this an essential party track.
That’s followed up with ‘In Ya Neighbourhood’. When the cinematically-dramatic intro drops into Skeema’s stomping beat and Stimulator’s flow-switching roll-out, trust, this is going to get people moving. Highlighting Stim’s ability to deliver all kinds of lyrical content, this is bound to find a place in your playlists and setlists.
Across both of these tracks, Stimulator proves what ravers who’ve witnessed him perform live will already know. He’s an entertainer as well as a lyricist, shelling down dances with bars precision-configured into crowd-engaging flows and hooks. If this is your first introduction to MC Stimulator, then congratulations, you’ve got a wealth of new music to discover.
